Sacred cows?

The wound is still fresh following last weeks announcement by ITV of its intention to abandon local news on the channel. Meanwhile, the BBC are putting the finishing touches to proposals which would have a damaging effect on journalism across the corporation. As the Union readies itself for apparent conflict, management in both organisations would do well to reflect that they may lose more than they would gain if they put their journalism at risk.
