World's apart

Today we launched the campaign for Union rights for all at the World Service. Although the NUJ can negotiate for editorial staff, the service relies heavily on the efforts of freelance and casuals who do not have same rights or status as the colleagues they work along side. Many have not had an increase in pay for several years. They are some of the most vulnerable workers at the BBC. We aim to secure rights for these members and begin to redress the balance in their favour.

Hi,

Can I ask a favour please? I'd like to include your blog in a blog aggregator for union blogs at http://www.tigmoo.co.uk

It's aimed at getting more union people out of the woodwork and blogging. Quite a few NUJers on it already.

If you're okay with this, it will scan your site every hour or so for new posts and then add the title, opening sentence and link to a list which people can subscribe to by RSS, letting them directly into your blog's latest story.

If you're happy with this idea, could you please let me know (and any other comments) at http://www.tigmoo.co.uk/?q=contact ?

Cheers, John
