So, more than 17,000 people a day have been busy downloading the BBC's new i-Player, according to the MediaGuardian.
It's a tool that's been a long time in the making but now that it's finally here it's proving popular (except perhaps with Mac users...)
Choosing when to catch up with TV does mean we're now all our own master of the dark arts of scheduling...I just hope we don't altogether forget the thrill of watching something in real time, ready for those heady chats around the watercooler the next day...
