Managers seemed to feel the need to communicate today. All staff emails were flying about like Santa's sleigh. Couple of highlights from the Mark Thompson one;
‘I ...have been pretty pleased by the work that’s going on between management and unions...’ -an odd thing to say in the middle of a strike ballot but I guess you'd call it work . And then;
‘2007 has been a pretty bumpy year but it has been a year of fantastic effort and work from almost everyone...' I love that word almost. Who can he mean? The controller who fell on his sword, for whom parting was such sweet sorrow, or those who are currently being fatally marked in BBC Vision? Wherever you are in the scheme of things such seasons greetings probably bring cold comfort.
